Two Many Banjos Feature

by Doug MacRostie

I can’t say enough about Two Many Banjos; the music, the lyrics, the feel – they are a true treasure out of Duluth, MN. Forming new sonic territory by mixing Americana, bluegrass and world music; TMB isn’t afraid to try something new and different.

My wife and I attended their concert at Terrapin Station in Nevis, MN on a cold evening back in February. With the lights down low and the audience listening closely, TMB put on a fantastic show ranging from high energy bluegrass foot-stompers to walls of drifting world rhythms.

A Day In Duluth: Love and Loss

by Doug MacRostie

My wife and I decided to spend a day in Duluth to celebrate our 2 year anniversary.  The little duder stayed with the grandfolks and we left relatively early on a beautiful sunny day. And as usual, we had an excellent time.

The most magical of all would have to be fun-in-the-sun on the rocky beach of the North Shore of Lake Superior. We forgot the beer, but that didn’t matter :p

My love of Duluth is why I attended UMD and I actually remembered how to get to most of the places we wanted to go! But, something had changed…something that had been a pillar of my Duluth experience.
