Imogen Heap Asked Me to Collaborate

The other day I got a Tweet from Imogen asking me to help with ideas for her next album. She said she’s been busy and it would be a huge favor for her.

While it’s an honor to be asked, it’s not a surprise – considering that my unreleased Lab Rats EP (with the to-be hits “Wage Levee Blues” and “Crustaceans Rock”) is already legendary with industry insiders.

I Prefer My Moose in Chocolate Ice Cream

Sometimes a little thing can make a big difference. It had been a good meal; kind of a long wait, but Duder had notable patience and the food was excellent when it finally arrived. It was a great family date over in Effie. As I was pulling out, Wifey suggested we take the other way home – that little, low-impact decision is what made a big difference for the night. I made an awkward turn in the middle of the intersection and away we went, happy as clams with the duder asleep in the back.

It’s Supposed to be Cheap BUT Fabulous

While the saying, “I got it out of a Cracker Jacks box,” has always referenced something cheap and generally useless, it also suggested something fun and unique. Like a pinball game or Halloween mask, or even little metal instrument replicas. It’s not like Cracker Jacks themselves are something special; glorified, overpriced popcorn.

Due to some reason I haven’t bothered to research, (but will venture to guess is cost related), the prizes have declined to simple printed jokes or quotes. Excuse me Frito Lay, but we already have those and they’re called fortune cookies, get your own idea! Oh wait, you already had yours…
